When you are browsing in your mobile Safari browser and see an image you would like to save on your iPod Touch, all you have to do is touch the image and hold for about 2 seconds. This will bring up a Save Image or Cancel screen and you may save the image and it will be stored in your Saved Photos section. These photos can then be transfered to your computer from your iPod Touch.

This also requires iPod Touch version 2.0
To take a screenshot on your iPod Touch just tap the Home and Sleep buttons at the same time. This will cause your screen to flash and the screenshot will be saved into your pictures folder in the Photo app.

This requires iPod Touch Version 2.0 which is a $10 upgrade from iTunes. This 2.0 update is well worth the $10 upgrade price because most of Apps in the iTunes Store add so much to your iPod Touch when you are not in a Wi-Fi zone.
WeatherBug, the leading provider of live, local weather information for consumers around the world, announced their App for the App Store on Friday. Since then the public reaction has been extremely positive, WeatherBug offers many features the Apple Weather App does not.

After many errors, crashes and little word from Apple, the iPod Touch Firmware 2.0 was released late Friday night. The iPhone’s 2.0 firmware was leaked early and a few people got their hands on it. After some problems which included crashes and overall OS instability the version was said to be only for 3G iPhones and the link to is was pulled from many tech sites.

On the bottom of the iPod Touch page on Apple.com Apple states that the features many people bought for $20 Dollars back in January are free with the $10 2.0 upgrade. Many of iPod Touch owners already have the bonus Apps however people who did not purchase this update will get it and the 20 upgrade for a mere $10.

To bring mobile reading to the iPod Touch and iPhone ZappTek has announced “Legends” and ebook service. This service will be available for purchase in the Official App Store on July 11th. The App is free however, you do have to purchase the ebooks.

Google has now announced that Google Talk Web App is now available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Google talk is IM Web Application that was integrated into Gmail. It is used by many people because of the advanced features and customization features.

Many people are catching up on the “Touch Revolution” which started in June 2007 which the first iPhones were sold. After the announcement and development of the iPhone SDK most of its hype focused on mobile gaming. Sony might be stepping into Apple’s territory revealed by a newly released patent showing a touch based gaming platform that could be used as a phone.
